OVP HEALTH will soon open a new outpatient health center at the former location of People’s Bank, 303 Main Street, in Spencer, WV.

Renovations are currently underway at the site, which will offer primary and family medical care for patients of all ages, behavioral health care services, and medication-assisted treatment and counseling for patients seeking recovery from substance use disorders. Patients will be able to schedule appointments, but walk-in visits will also be welcomed.

“We are very excited to become an official member of the Spencer community and an active participant in community life in Roane County,” said Stephanie McCloud, President of Outpatient Services for OVP HEALTH. “Our company was founded by two family physicians 25 years ago on the Core Values of Family, Community, Quality, and Integrity — values that continue to guide everything we do, and every decision we make at OVP HEALTH. We can’t wait to begin serving the people of Spencer, and to work alongside them to make a positive difference throughout the community.”

“We are thrilled to welcome OVP HEALTH to Spencer,” said Mark Whitely, Roane County Economic Development Authority Director. “The addition of their outpatient office marks a significant milestone for Roane County’s health care landscape. This initiative not only enhances the local healthcare options available in Spencer but also serves as a beacon of wellness for the entire region. We are proud to partner with OVP HEALTH in providing quality health care solutions, reaffirming our commitment to the wellbeing of our community members and fostering a healthier future for Roane County and beyond.”

Prior to opening in early 2024, OVP HEALTH will need to hire office staff, medical providers, counselors, and medical assistants. Those interested in applying for a position should visit the OVP HEALTH website at ovphealth.com, click on “Careers” at the top of the home page, and then click on the box that says “Current Outpatient Services Openings.”
