(Huntington, WV) Country music artist Cledus T. Judd will host a video podcast series to
help people dealing with life’s many and various hardships called “Life, Learning and
Lemonade.” The podcast, sponsored by OVP HEALTH, will launch on social media on
Monday, August 10, and will deal with a wide range of topics including anxiety,
depression, grief, substance use disorders, and family crises, among others.

“The overriding message we want to communicate through this podcast series is that
there is hope on the other side of adversity,” said Charles Shumaker, OVP HEALTH Chief
Marketing and Communications Officer. “We’re not just going to be talking about
problems. We’re going to be talking about real solutions.”

Judd, known primarily for his humorous parodies of popular country songs, is no
stranger to hardship. As someone who once struggled with debilitating drug addiction,
Judd now participates in frequent outreach activities to share his story and to provide
support and encouragement to others who are struggling with substance use disorders.

“Life hands everyone on this earth lemons from time to time,” said Judd. “But there’s a
very important second half of that old saying that’s incredibly empowering. When life
hands you lemons, you can choose to make lemonade! You can choose to make
something positive out of life’s hardships! I’m very excited to have the opportunity to
help people find their lemonade recipes and to find healing through this new podcast.”
New episodes of “Life, Learning and Lemonade” will be posted weekly on OVP
HEALTH’s social media channels, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X and
LinkedIn.
