(Huntington, WV) OVP HEALTH, based in Huntington, WV, has received three-year accreditations from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for four of its key programs and services offered to patients in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia.
After an intensive series of on-site surveys, CARF found that OVP HEALTH’s Integrated Behavioral Health/Primary Care program for Adults; its Integrated Behavioral Health/Primary Care program for Children and Adolescents; its Outpatient Treatment program for Substance Use Disorders (SUD); and its Integrated Residential Treatment program for SUD/Mental Health demonstrated substantial conformance to CARF’s rigorous, internationally-recognized standards. The accreditation of those programs will extend through March 31, 2028.
“CARF accreditation is generally accepted around the world as an indicator that surveyed programs are highly committed to continuous quality improvement and consumer satisfaction,” said Stacey Shy, OVP HEALTH Chief Executive Officer. “For more than 12 years now, OVP HEALTH has eagerly opened its doors to constructive criticism from CARF survey teams consisting of some of the most knowledgeable and respected experts in the field of health and human services. We do that for one reason — to make sure we’re always doing our best to improve care and service for our patients.”
This is OVP HEALTH’s fourth consecutive three-year CARF accreditation for its Integrated Behavioral Health/Primary Care program for Adults and its Outpatient Treatment program for Substance Use Disorders (SUD); its second consecutive three-year accreditation for its Integrated Residential Treatment program for SUD/Mental Health; and its first three-year accreditation for its Integrated Behavioral Health/Primary Care program for Children and Adolescents.
OVP HEALTH provides an extensive range of emergency department and hospitalist staffing and management services for local and regional hospitals. The company also operates a network of community primary care centers and offers accredited outpatient and inpatient medication-assisted treatment and counseling services in communities across West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia.
